The AX Ring removal tool is manufactured out of marine grade aluminium. The uses a single internal expansion hydraulic cylinder and uses two linear bearings to guide the expansion retainers. The retainers are lined with insertion rubber for protection of the AX gasket during recovery and installation. The unit has a centrally mounted compliant handle adaptor. This allows for bolt on manipulator handle of choice. The unit is finsihed in black powder coating.

The softline cutters are manufactured out of 316l stainless steel. The cutting blade is hardened steel unit that is machined sharpened to give the best cutting angle. The blade is guided by two bronze linear bearings. the unit comes standard with a compliant mounting bush that allows for manipulator handle of choice to be bolted on. The hydraulic cylinder is finished in two part epoxy and has maximum operating pressure of 1500 PSI.

The manipulator holder assembly is universal OMM style hydraulic motors. Choice of manipulator type handle can be selected when ordering the unit. The units come with two types of 316l stainless steel adaptors. One is for fitting cutting or grinding disks and the other for adaption to cleaning brushes.The motor selection is made on the task that is required i.e cutting tasks it uses a low torque high speed hydraulic motor and for grinding and brush cleaning a low speed high torque motor is used. The motors are fitted stainles JIC fittings and finished in two part epoxy paint.
